The Protocol by Nativa defines the farming and industrial methods allowed for Nativa’s accreditation. Additionally, it regulates the in- dustry’s procedures to keep the entire supply chain at top levels on responsible production and social engagement.

Nativa ensures that the capacity and quality of its farms are ma- naged sustainably, protecting the environment. At industry level, the facilities involved are adequately managed to reduce their environ- mental impact or avoid it comple- tely.

To ensure animal welfare each far-

mer has a management plan, asses- sing feeding, breeding, behaviour, animal handling and health and infrastructure. This includes stress free shearing and the prohibition of mulesing.
